Project description

This project involved the manufacture of 12 single HEPA filter housings for DEC Poland. The housings are designed for use in pharmaceutical chambers, where high manufacturing quality, dimensional consistency and carefully controlled surface finishes are particularly important.

A key requirement of the project was to achieve the specified surface roughness of Ra 0.4 µm on the internal surfaces and Ra 0.8 µm externally. These parameters are important in pharmaceutical applications, where surfaces need to be smooth, easy to clean and suitable for use in controlled environments.

Project objectives

The production of the HEPA filter housings required a high level of repeatability across the full batch of 12 units. Each housing had to meet the same requirements in terms of geometry, workmanship and surface quality, which is especially important for equipment intended for pharmaceutical environments.

Surface finishing was one of the most critical stages of the project. The internal surfaces were finished to Ra 0.4 µm, while the external surfaces were finished to Ra 0.8 µm. Achieving these values required precise manufacturing and careful control of the final finishing process.
